Grilled Sausage Dog


Mixed Green Veggie Salad

You’ll Need

  • 6 sausages (any flavour will do, but we like spicy Italian and turkey)
  • 6 sausage buns (crusty, whole grain, Ciabatta), warmed
  • Variety of relishes (tomato, onion, dill, corn)
  • Variety of mustards (Dijon, honey, yellow)
  • Grilled onion slices (optional)
  • Ketchup/BBQ sauce

Prep and Cook

  • Preheat grill to 375 degrees.
  • Place the sausages directly on the grate and grill over a medium fire, turning occasionally, until cooked through or until golden brown, 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Do not prick or slash the skin during cooking, as this causes the juices to escape.
  • Place the sausages in the buns, top with generous spoonfuls of relish, mustard, grilled onions, and ketchup.
