Penguin Cupcakes


Makes 12

You’ll Need

  • 12 cupcakes
  • 2 cups vanilla frosting
  • 1 cup flaked sweetened coconut
  • 18 chocolate wafer cookies
  • 24 small white candies
  • 24 mini chocolate chips
  • 4 orange candy Circus Peanuts

Prep and Cook

  • Prepare the cupcakes as per package or recipe instructions.
  • Spread a thick layer of frosting over each cupcake and top with shredded coconut.
  • Spread icing over 12 of the chocolate wafer cookies. Add two white candies per cookie to make the penguins' eyes. Top each candy with a mini chocolate chip, affixing it with some of the frosting.
  • Cut triangular pieces from the candy Circus Peanuts to make the penguins’ beak and attach one to each cookie using some of the icing.
  • Press the cookie into the top of each cupcake. Take the remaining cookies and break them in half. Break each piece into half again and insert two of the pieces into the side of the frosting to form the wings.
