Stovetop Popcorn

You’ll Need

  • 3 Tbsp canola oil
  • ½ cup popcorn kernels
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Suggested toppings: grated parmesan cheese, chili powder, smoked paprika, nutritional yeast, dill, rosemary, cumin, black pepper and lime juice

Prep and Cook

  • Heat oil in a medium saucepan. When it’s hot, add the popcorn kernels and salt. Place a lid on the pot, setting it slightly askew to let the steam escape, and pop the corn until it slows to almost nothing. Remove the pot from the heat and take off the lid.
  • Pour the popcorn into a bowl and season with any of the suggested toppings.
